alternate ending

(Nora closes the door behind her with relief, feeling as if she had been suppressing her feelings for too long. As shes walking out the house she see Krogstad and he stops her to talk.)

Nora: what are you doing here?!
Krogstad: nothing, just coming from Ms.L.... (Krogstad blundered) I mean i thought I would come to see how things went with Torvald.
Nora: whaaaat! You and Ms.Linde must have been sneaking around the whole time! Your such hypocrites! How could you?!!
Krogstad: well...
Nora: nooo, shut up! Im not dumb, you must have had a plan together all along. I bet she never even tried to tell you to get the letter back. Both of you are such pigs! My advice to you both is to never even try talking to me again. Just get out of my face!

(Nora storms off with anger. She believes its finally time to start her life over, forgetting about all of this drama and realize who she really is.)

Act Two

Act two was very surprising. I was in shock when i realized that Dr. Rank was in love with Nora. Nora was acting jauntily when the lights were off then when she turned them on she began to act as if she didn't flirt with him, and like nothing happened. I couldn't believe Dr. Rank said " To have loved you as deeply as anyone else was that horrid? (195) I felt like at the moment Nora had to reproach him because she was completely  shocked and she learned that she couldn't ask him for the money after he had said that to her.

During act two Nora also began to act very different with Torvald. She had to do everything in her power to not let him open the mailbox because the letter from Krogstad was in there. This was the letter would reveal Nora's secret. Once Torvald finds out everything in their life will change. She tried to stall him by practicing the Tarantella. While dancing Torvald said " Your dancing as if your life depends on it." (204) Little does Torvald know, her life really did depend on it.

Act one

Act one was very interesting. Nora seems to be the type of character that is very unpredictable, and jauntily in the beginning of act one. I have mixed feeling about the character of Nora because she acts one way with her husband and another way with other people. I was surprised when Nora said " I wrote papa's name."(175) I didn't think that Nora would do something so corrupt.

I think that in the end Trovald will find out everything from Krogstad. Nora is incredulous with Krogstad because he is blackmailing her. I feel like Nora is going to begin acting different with Trovald and her children    because now she has a guilty conscious. She might try everything in her power to not let Trovald find out but it might not work. Act two should be even more interesting to read.

Hi, this is Deonna Migliore. My favorite thing about English class this year is learning about how things were a long time ago and how it affected the authors of the stories we read. 

             The author of A Doll's House was Henrik Ibsen. He was born on March 20, 1828. He was born in Skien, Norway. "In 1862, he was exiled to Italy, where he wrote the tragedy Brand. In 1868, Ibsen moved to Germany, where he wrote one of his most famous works: the play A Doll's House." Henrik was the oldest of five children. His father was a successful merchant while his mother was a painter, played piano, and she also loved to go to the theater. 

               At the age of fifteen he stopped going to school and began to work. His role model was William Shakespeare. Besides writing plays he wrote 300 poems. As he was getting older he began to have serial strokes that left him unable to write. Henrik Ibsen died on May 23, 1906. The main character of the play may symbolize his life story and what he went through in his life to make it. I think this play will show how things were when he was younger and how it was hard because his family had financial problems as he was growing up.
